TakoCam is designed from the ground up with privacy-by-default architecture. Your live video and audio streams are transmitted peer-to-peer using WebRTC encryption.
1. Data We Collect
We store your account email, profile name, registered device metadata (device name, role, battery telemetry, push notification token), and encrypted refresh token hashes in Cloudflare D1.
2. Live Video & Audio Streams
Live streams are never recorded or stored on our servers. Media packets travel directly between your devices via WebRTC (DTLS-SRTP) or transiently through Cloudflare Realtime TURN relays when NAT traversal requires it.
3. Motion Alert Snapshots
When motion detection is enabled, JPEG snapshots are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket and automatically deleted according to your plan retention policy (24 hours for Free tier, 30 days for Pro tier).
